What is the vanity bot?
Vanity roles reward members who put your server’s vanity URL in their custom status. Discord does not let the main adore bot monitor custom statuses reliably, so this feature runs on a separate companion bot - adore vanity.Invite adore vanity
Invite adore vanity to the same server as adore. All vanity commands are slash commands. Type
/vanity in a text channel, or run /help on the vanity bot for the full list.Quick setup
1
Invite both bots
Add adore and adore vanity to your server.
2
Set your server vanity URL
In Server Settings → Invites, set your vanity URL (e.g.
discord.gg/adore). Vanity rewards only work if your server actually has one.3
Enable the system
4
Set the substring to match
/ (e.g. /adore) so it matches your vanity link.5
Add award roles
6
Set the thank-you channel (optional)
/vanity overview anytime to see status, vanity URL, award channel, strict mode, and roles.
Commands
Setting the vanity to monitor
Use/vanity set with the substring members should put in their custom status.
/vanity set with no argument to reset the monitored substring.
Strict mode
By default, a member’s status only needs to contain your vanity substring. With strict mode on, the status must match exactly.Award roles
Thank-you message
Set a message sent when someone advertises your server in their status.Supports plain text, embed syntax, and variables like
{user.mention} and {guild.vanity}./vanity message with no text to reset to the default.
Notification channel
/vanity channel with no channel to clear it. If no channel is set, thank-you messages are not posted to a channel (roles are still awarded).
Tips
- Run
/vanity overviewafter changing settings to confirm everything is configured - If vanity auto-disables, check that award roles still exist and sit below the bot’s role
- The vanity bot shares the same database as adore - settings persist across both bots
