Why use fake permissions?

Fake permissions prevent rogue moderators from using native Discord actions - like mass banning through the Discord client or API - while still letting them moderate through adore.

How do fake permissions work?

When a role is given fake permissions (e.g. ban_members), members with that role can use adore’s ban command but cannot use Discord’s native ban feature.

Getting command permissions

Check what permission a command requires with ,help (command).

Setting up fake permissions

Only the server owner can manage fake permissions.
add and grant are aliases for the same command.

Allowed permissions

Emergency: stripstaff

If a moderator goes rogue, use ,stripstaff (user) to remove all their roles and fake permissions immediately.
