Overview

adore can join your voice channel and stream music from a search query or a YouTube, Spotify, or SoundCloud link. Tracks are resolved through Spotify metadata and streamed with yt-dlp.

You must be in a voice channel to use music commands. Most controls only work while you are in the same voice channel as the bot.

Getting started

Join a voice channel.
Run ,play with a song name or URL.
The bot joins your channel and starts playback.

Playback commands

Command	Description
`,play (query)`	Queue a song by name or URL
`,skip`	Skip the current track
`,pause`	Pause playback
`,resume`	Resume playback
`,volume [0-100]`	View or set playback volume
`,disconnect`	Stop playback and leave the voice channel

Queue

Command	Description
`,queue`	View the current queue
`,queue remove (position)`	Remove a track by position
`,queue shuffle`	Shuffle queued tracks
`,queue empty`	Clear the queue

You can also use ,shuffle as a shortcut for ,queue shuffle.

Repeat & autoplay

Command	Description
`,repeat [off\|song\|queue]`	Toggle repeat mode (off → song → queue)
`,autoplay`	Show whether autoplay is on or off
`,autoplay on`	Keep playing similar songs when the queue ends
`,autoplay off`	Stop when the queue is empty

Autoplay is on by default. When the queue runs out, adore uses Spotify recommendations to queue similar music.

Voice channel status

While a song is playing, the bot sets the voice channel status to the current track title.

Auto-leave

If everyone leaves the voice channel, the bot waits 10 seconds and then disconnects automatically.
